Hello everybody and welcome to another episode of the Smart Human Podcast. Today, I have the pleasure of talking with my colleague, Theodora Scarato, who is executive director of Environmental Health Trust. Environmental Health Trust is a nonprofit scientific think tank that promotes a healthier environment through research, education, and policy, carries out cutting-edge research on environmental health hazards, and also works directly with communities, health, education professionals, and policymakers to understand and mitigate these hazards. Theodora has published several research papers, including a paper on reducing EMF exposures in buildings entitled Building Science and Radiofrequency Radiation, What Makes Smart and Healthy Buildings in 2020. She has also co-authored, along with several eminent scientists, a major state of the science review paper. on children’s health entitled, Wireless Technologies, Non-Ionizing Electromagnetic Fields and Children, Identifying and Reducing Health Risks, which was published in 2023 in Current Problems in Pediatric and Adolescent Health Care. She is the lead policy analyst for EHT’s database of international policy actions to mitigate wireless and EMF health risk, and has lectured at the National Institutes of Health, the University of California, San Francisco, as well as several international conferences.

Theodora Scarato MSW is Executive Director of Environmental Health Trust (EHT). Scarato has published several research papers include a paper on reducing EMF exposures in buildings.

Davis and Scarato co-authored a major state of the science review paper with numerous experts entitled “Wireless technologies, non-ionizing electromagnetic fields and children: Identifying and reducing health risks” published in Current Problems in Pediatric and Adolescent Health Care.

 EHT filed a historic lawsuit-  EHT et al., v the FCC– against the FCC regarding their wireless radiation safety limits and received a favorable decision whereby the FCC has been mandated to re-examine the record evidence on wireless radiation.
